This is an Arabic treatise that provides explanation on nīyah (intention) in performing takbirat al-iḥrām (the first saying of the phrase Allāh Akbar [God is Great] at the start of salāt [obligatory prayers]). The issue is discussed from the perspectives of both Islamic jurisprudence and Sufism. The Malay version with an interlinear Malay translation is found.
